This department deals with all aspects of learning and career development for the Nation and its members. It also includes youth engagement in areas such as sports and leadership. This department has four objectives as described in our 2021 Comprehensive Community Plan:
We are in the process of developing a two day per week kindergarten preparation class for children under five years of age.
This school district represents 70 schools including elementary, middle and secondary in the Coquitlam area. If you have a child or youth who attends one of their schools, please visit their website to learn more about their programs and to obtain any student forms.

The Nation provides financial support for all registered kʷikʷəƛ̓əm m̀əlstéyəxw to attend an accredited post-secondary institution such as a college, university or technical institution, in Canada and the United States. You can attend school full-time or part-time.

The deadline to apply depends on when you will want to start school. For example, if you want to start school in the fall of 2022, you must apply by May 31, 2022.
The Nation is currently in the process of hiring a contractor from Work BC to provide in-house support to our members. Work BC helps individuals find their next job and offers a variety of services including employment planning, skills assessment, training, resume writing and work experience opportunities We are also working on completing a skills inventory that includes the education and training needs and goals of our members.
